Dreams

Something Shawn told me yesterday made me think...and this is the result of my thinking process.

To have a dream you have to fight,
whether it be day or night.
Don’t let people control your life,
you’ll save  yourself a whole lot of strife.

Treat your dream as a child,
let it’s happiness go wild.
No one can control your dreams,
if something rips, just find a colored string to make the seams.

Life will never be easy or a piece of cake,
its not all gonna be a picnic on a lake.
Sometimes you’ll just want to admit defeat,
when that happens listen to your dream’s heartbeat.

Nothing can take your dreams away,
not even the sun will shine brighter on a beautiful day.
Nothing can make your dreams disappear,
for dreams are just more magic for people to leer.
