The Ailurophiles

It's in the air,

perfect
revolution.

Swish!

The whole world
watches in anticipation
as this young team
topples the Autocrats
in thrilling fashion.

However, they are far from finished.

This is just
the first
of many opponents
they will face
in this tournament.

But tonight,
they are celebrating
in Cairo.

pretty good, the whole egypt thing was pretty close to home for me ( egypt is the only other decently developed nation in africa) i like the way the lines are set.

too true, overthrowing a government is easy... Replacing it effectively and rebuilding, that is hard

The sports metaphor made me laugh. The title made me groan. I usually don't like poems about current political events, but this one was pretty painless.
