Someday We'll all be Gone.

Someday We'll all be Gone.

A Poem by Katrina Crickett
"

Recent Events in Japan inspired this. It made me realise just how fragile life can be.

"

Someday We’ll all be Gone.

The entire world is tearing apart at the seams,

Where mainlands and islands collide.

The nations and races, the far away places

Closing the great divide.

The world as we know it,

Shattered and broken, ripped and torn apart.

To mend broken bridges, rebuild mountain ridges,

Heal people, just where do we start?

The earth it still spins on it’s axis.

The sun and the moon come and go.

The wide empty spaces, the tear stained faces,

The yesterdays, todays and tomorrows.

Wasted words and moments,

Time spent without careful thought.

Tomorrow is a question not a promise,

Nor a birthright, but an adventure sought.

The time it doesn’t stop where it started,

The second hand, it races on

The minute hand walks and the hour hand creeps,

Someday we’ll all be gone.
