A Divine Order

Chalise pulled out the holy gun, and she aimed it at God. Her chin was high, brown eyes almost wavering in this light chamber that smelled of ozone and gunpowder. “What are you doing, you were supposed to purge the corruption of my order, you were tasked to kill them all!”

Her lip curled, cocked the gun.. “I am following orders,” she replied, her tone deep and resolute. “I’m starting with the root.” And then she shot the holy scales, and God screamed.
