no beginning and definitely no end

infinity, you are boundless 

and here, I tie myself in knots

you are drenched in possibility 

when we take away the rules 

anything can be

and yet we limit the limitless 

innocence knows infinity 

like an old and fading friend

it’s age

and rules 

and naysayers 

who drive infinity away 

a glimpse of all you hold 

infinity, 

it comes and goes 

like a shooting star 

across my reality 

please can you land 

in my backyard 

so I can immerse myself anew

After it lands in your yard, can you send em my way? I find it a lot easier these days to immerse myself in negativity than the opposite. Maybe it due the countless voices trying to get us to take sides on everything stupid in this world. I don't want to take sides, just a have a meaningful life. A lovely and wonderful poem. CD

i think too often we listen to the naysayers...and that causes us to second guess ourselves and drive that infinity away, as you say.
we get scared to succeed more than to fail.

i caught sight of a shooting star last night when Beauregard had his 11 pm pee time ;) i especially like the closing ...the humility and prayerful attitude i read in it is a blessing ...and the meditations preceding it are so you my friend ... there are things that are important ... and things that are really important aren't there ?! :))))))) peace and joy

this idea of infinity has been bouncing around my reality a lot lately ... I have been listening to a discourse by my buddy Guru Singh (he speaks to me big time) we put constraints on ourselves and then in time we stop believing - oh man when we stop believe surely we slowly die right?

I haven't seen a shooting star in ages - you can thank Beauregard for that one can't you?

After the 2nd line I kept thinking about Alexander the Great and the Gordian Knot story.

The best way is the easiest way. Whenever I figure out a clever way of doing something I do kind of feel a reborn anew (in a very narrow sense of the word).

Whenever you're watching a movie and an action hero kicks a locked door open with one swift kick and no consequences... know that the screenwriters are using that very same literary device, consciously or unconsciously. (Alexander probably didn't really do that, but he'd look pretty pragmatic and heroic if people thought he did... either way, he was a f*****g genius. My president's name is Donald and is easily confused.)
