Leg Day RevengeA Poem by Kaede16Little field trip to the gym last night. -I took my legs- Lied to them miserably, And together we laughed all the way there. Told them ‘twas biceps’ turn, and Yes, I admit to it being unfair. Took them first to the cardio machines And over and over we climbed the electric stair. My poor little legs endured all the pain Convinced that after that, there was nothing else. Oh poor ladies were not impressed When I took them straight to the calf press. My gastrocnemius wailed in pain As the muscle stretched and stretched I could almost hear them two Plotting to get their revenge. Today morning I had forgotten Of the adventures that occurred. Went to work, all day sitting And off to a concert, I left! It was then I started to notice The revenge rightly deserved. Because now my legs are throbbing, Oh no, I can’t feel my legs! © 2019 Kaede16Author's Note
