Silence

Silence

A Poem by Kailei

Frightened throughout the darkness,
Silence's ring piercing through my ears
All these feelings completely meaningless;
Why have all these fears?

My thoughts run rampid on by.
Supposed happiness, too hard to find.
Is everything that happens actually a lie?
Perhaps I too am being left behind.

Love being sought after,
Something so warm, so nice.
Far too easy to shatter.
One word, so imprecise.

A single white dove,
A solo black crow.
So easy to love,
All too sim- hello!

Someone unknowing enters the room,
Such innocence in a troublesome place.
Being here it only got consumed,
An area where people only self abase.

Longing, a hiraeth.
Yet lost within my own oblivion.
Turned into a shibboleth,
Allow me to build my bastion!

Sweet life! Sorrowful death!
You pick and you choose!
Oh just a few more breaths!
I suppose in this game we all lose.

Walled up and alone,
The door closed and locked.
Feelings remain never shown.
Hearing the clock stop, balked.

Two gazes met, wide open.
One love, a single moment.
Where no one here is outspoken.
Listen, I'm your only a opponent.
This is your final endowment.
