Pillow Fight

"I promise

Cross my

Eyes

And my

Heart."

I smile

And say.

 

You grin

At me

Showing

Your

Shiny white

Teeth

That make me melt.

 

"I believe

You,

I love you

Lovely love."

You say softly

Slowly beginning

To kiss me

 

I giggle

And pull away

I run

And jump

On the

Bed

Bouncing up then down

 

You run

After me

Tackling me

On the bed

I laugh

Quite loudly

You kiss me on the cheek

 

I grab a pillow

Hitting you awith it

While

I scream

"PILLOW

FIGHT!!!"

Giggling slightly

 

You grab a pillow

And let me up

We start hitting

Each other

Back and Forth

Until we are both out

Of Breathe

 

We fall onto the

Bed smiling

brightly

I cuddle up close

To you

Then kiss you

Softly

This is such a playful poem, I really like it. You have such fun and adorable images in the poem and you can feel the playfulness of the love. Great write!

I say this alot when I review poetry and its just something I am biased towards but I like poetry that has a distinct rhythm to it.
But I did like when you wrote "lovely love". Its cool because it seemed like you were trying to write a redundant line as opposed to trying to get rid of the imperfection.
Its like the glass bowls with the little bubbles broken into them.
The bubbles are an imperfection that show it was crafted by honest, human hands.
