Was she Worth it?

Was she Worth it?

A Poem by Kaitlyn Raiford

You've got her-
And he's got me.
Oh how lovely this turned out to be.

You've got the chest
But I got the key.
Our love remains to be set free.

You're far away.
Even farther than me.
But I would have traveled on my own two feet.

You're lying in bed.
You're next to her.
But what would you do if I was next door?

I've got the heart that did forgive-
When the Hell inside broke loose.
Don't forget, I unraveled your noose.

I have the mind that searched-
Scoured for your presence when I was alone.
Don't forget, my warmth was home.

And so on this cold winter day-
While you're out with her...
Remember just what she was worth.
