An old dog

An old dog

A Poem by KaplanKop

You know the type of weather
that leaves you uninspired?
That's not quite rain, but almost.
A no man's land,
Well, it was one of those days,
I was along the smooth dark concrete,
You know the type that gets really dark when it's wet?
So I was, I kept going,
I walked last the local bakery and
the friendly newsagent.
I kept going, because the rain (not quite rain) didn't let me stop.
An old dog passed me by,
I patted it on the head,
So I kept going.
