I Need To VentA Story by KarMarBarJust some venting in the form of journaling. I had to get it out of my head and into words.
For once, can you try to see things from my point-of-view instead of your own warped version of the isolated little world you live in?
You tell me you're sorry that "I believe" I had a bad childhood. However, we remember things differently. One of my biggest and most painful memories from that childhood that you don't seem to think was so bad is my mother leaving the house to go have affairs. I would ask, "Mommy, where are you going?" You would reply, "Out." I would reply, "Can I come with you?" You would reply, "No." I would ask, "When will you be back home?" And you would reply "When I get back." Meanwhile, Daddy was glued to the computer or taking 5 hour baths with a cocaine problem. When I bring this up to you, you tell me to put the past in the past. However, this was your past. This was my childhood. One's childhood molds them into the adult they become. You taught me how to be certain things and act certain ways based on your own decisions, behavior, and conduct, when I was a child. And you wonder why you raised such s****y kids? Open your f*****g eyes, for once!
