Love

A poem I wrote telling how one man saved me from the life of heartbreak I was enduring, and showed me that not people are around to cause me harm.

Hate

Children sneer

She mocks

 

Shrunken down

I hide

 

Fear

Abiding tear

He nocks

 

Torn gown

Tongue dried

 

Pain

Head unclear

Unstable docks

 

I drown

Harsh tide

 

Hope

Draws near

Pandora's box

 

Lifting frown

Upbeat stride

 

Love

Becoming clear

Stomach knots
