No Such Luck

A silly poem.

Two complete strangers,

walk separately to a store

One leaves at three,

the other at four

 

The first wants to buy flowers

Passing ads she deems bogus

She starts counting her money

Dropping a penny, without notice

 

The second, an hour later,

Heads to the store for a book

He sees a penny in the road

He walks over to take a look

 

heads up,

Good luck

He looks to his left

To see the lights of a speeding truck.

Author's Note

I wrote this in my head in 1 minute while doing my make-up. Very silly and strange.
