Fly Free

I want to hurt,

until it stops hurting.

I want to free myself,

of this gripping pain.

I want to fly,

from this too-small cage.

I want control.

I want freedom.

I need to breath.

I love this poem!! I know exactly how you feel!! Control over pain, control over self, control over my space, I want it all and it sounds like you do too.

To be free is the best feeling in the world. Most of us seek freedom to think and breath. Hard to maintain but if we are lucky. Can find a place where our thoughts and heart can be free of the bad things for awhile. I enjoyed the poem. Made me think. A excellent poem.

Simple yet beautiful. It has nice flow and good imagery. The bird analogy is one of my favourites and is used very well.
