Melancholy

 

This feeling

Of thinking

Things are better

...or they will be.

 

Melancholy

 

This feeling

Of sourness

In my Heart

....just shouldn't be.

 

Melancholy

 

This feeling

Of pain

That continually throbs

...where none should be.

 

Melancholy

 

This feeling

Of change

Is neither good nor bad

...but is to make things as they should be.

 

Right?

 

This feeling

Of doubt

Thinking what else

... could be?

 

Its all just too

 

Melancholy.

Author's Note

First time, in a long time, if ever, that I haven't mentioned "I" or "you" in a poem. I tried to continue a parallel structure and not stray from it, except for the ending.
