Not a Waste

Completely sober words that just came out: July, 2010. Writing anything sober, at the time I wrote this, was unheard of; that's why these are my fave words to date.

at times I despise all the whys
then I embrace, without haste,
all the memories I've misplaced
back to the days when I didn't feel I was a waste
to this world
all the thoughts, they unfurl
into the sea of me and what I used to be
when I thought I could be anything
not what you wanted me to be
when I could breathe

...and I could dream...
