The social punishment

The social punishment

A Poem by Katerobber
"

Freestyle poem about solitude vs social

"
The,
Cruelest,
Harshest,
Punishment isn't to be devoid of human company,
But to be immersed,

Their words washing over my head,
Filling my ears,
Flooding my mind,

Their fickle pleasure,
To dislike,
Tugging my thoughts awry,
Crossing emotion,
A crossroads of sorts,
An awful,
Awful sort,

Drowning in letters and stumbling through the tide,
The cruelest,
Harshest,
Punishment,
Is being forced from solitude.

Thank you, I wrote this during a large social event so the feeling was very fresh.
