Forever boundA Poem by Katho28I just want to let you go... but I can't...I didn't know how to tell you How deep your words drilled in my heart How the hole you'd created will never do How the healing never seemed to start The light would always blind my eyes I could never look past your smiling face Or leave the tangles of your lies You'd locked me in a small glass case I slammed my hands against the walls Knuckles crimson with inward pain But no one could hear my silent calls Or free my teardrops from its chain I didn't know how to tell you That you'd stolen an integral part of me (Haven't you stolen quite a few?) And thus, I couldn't let you be The invisible walls were all around And I couldn't ever run away That part you'd stolen, I never found Because of the words I didn't say But now I've found the words to say... just Those words I've always seemed to lack: You'd stolen a 'little' thing called trust And now I want it back.
