No expectations

No expectations

A Poem by OnlycallmeKathryn

Piercing eyes with a charming glare
Uncertain in a way that doesn’t make me scared
After all id just be glad for all of the time that weve shared
You pull me in with the very essence of your smell
If lust is a sin then the tenderness of your voice could send me straight to hell
An infatuation not to be mistaken for obsession
Im drawn by everything that you do
The way you speak, the way that you move
I want you to be all that you are with full discretion
A connection that is patient
I want to learn about you as passing time reshapes your reflection
You dont take my breath away
You give me life
I think that sounds better anyway
It just feels right
Even though I haven’t said it yet
I know I don’t have to
It’s the kind of love that gives
But doesn’t expect a mouthful
