Breathe

Breathe

A Poem by Wallflower

I miss you so much I forget to breathe.
Like the memories hold my lungs hostage.

Like I'm impaled every time I try to exhale,
so I hold it all in until the thump in my chest reminds me that the only thing left
to do
is to let go
of every last bit of You.

This was a heavy write! I truly understand the feelings in all been at that road a few times in life. It is a hard feeling letting go. I ask myself at times was it for the best?

the 'you' becomes more personal between the first and the last line, which tells a (the?) story of "Synergy" and "Breathe"...(I really hate it when i get these things wrong.)...anyway, that's what good poets do, is write about the adventures of the heart...nice to see you
