Shortcuts

A cut here and a cut there 

Take your cut and disappear 

Let it see where the road takes you 

A shadowy path concealing the truth 

Down the path , just 2 more steps to go 

To reach the end of the road 

Is it the right destination 

Or I have circled and came back to the start 

Shortcuts are misleading little roads 

Might be on the dot or get you off your path

I've held my breath, walked the same road many times and sometimes hit roads with potholes. But what I've found, on looking back is that there's fun to be had and there's always a lesson that had to be learned.

Shortcuts are welcoming when you are clear about your goal and you want to reach it by any means but most of the time they cut short the real goal leaving you perplexed!I know this because I have experienced it:)

Short cuts remind me of "off the beaten track". You take risks. Sometimes they work out, sometimes not. I am reminded of nothing ventured, nothing gained. A thought provoking little write Kathy. All the best.

This reminds me of an old saying about anything worth doing is worth doing right . . . assuming no shortcuts, as coming from an "old-fashioned" mindset . . . compared to youth, who usually want to find a faster or easier route. There will always be this push-and-pull, both forces are needed (((HUGS)))

Yepp , you're absolutely right bout that , the youth will always try to make things easier and eventually.its what will make them lazy,but the other force pushing it in the opposite direction will surely keep the youth in place . Thanks Margie for the review

Thanks carlos for the review . But the best the thing about that experience , u know how to differentiate between a good one and bad one just by the instincts . Thats why walking in circles is something to be tried once .
