Where Were You?A Poem by Eliott
Where were you
in my heart, I wonder. And where will you be when I need someone there? You were gone. I was over. Oh why? I wonder. And where will you be on the day that I die? Where are you while I hide from thunder? And where wil you be when the thunder is gone? You just run from the thunder, leaving me exposed. And where will you be on the day that I die? Where were you when the water flooded? And where will you be when I swim to the shore? You were gone, like the thunder, while I'm sinking under. And where were you on the day that I died? I lived through heartbreak when you left me crying. I lived through thunder, when you hid from the storm. But I drowned in the water, while you sailed away. You were on a sailing ship on the day that I died. © 2013 EliottAuthor's Note
