If only time could stand still,

If love could make it stop;

I wouldn't worry for there'd be:

No yesterday,

No tomorrow to fear.

I'd have no past to run from,

No future to hide from.

Only time to love you.

If time would only stand still:

We'd never have to part.

Never have to say goodbye again.

But as they say-

Time waits fo no man.

No reason at all.

So I lie just a little.

When in your arms,

Our time does stand still.

Just for a second or two.

Until someone or something reminds us,

That time really doesn't stand still at all.

If only love could make it stop,

Make it stand still:

I'm sure never a secound would pass for us.
