Glass Wall (1992)

Glass Wall (1992)

A Poem by Katseye

Glass Wall

This glass wall before me;

I know not how it got here.

All I know is:

That you are alone on that side,

And I'm alone on this side.

Someday I'll find a way,

To shatter this wall that keeps us apart.

I can see you, hear you.

I see your pain,

Hear your cries,

But can't put my arms around you.

Can't comfort you.

To repair my sharttered heart,

I must shatter this wall,

If I'm to get to the one I love.

Let the glass cut,

As long as I'm in your arms,

And this wall is gone,

The pain will not matter.
