Two Years Before


Two years before you said.
" I love you.," to me.
I had a boyfriend then,
And so hurt you.
Now two years later-
We are together.
You came back to me,
But it was I-
Who had to find my way back.
How could I know-
If you'd still be there?
I couldn't know,
But I hoped.
Now here we are;
Finally together.
Now it's my turn to say;
"I love you."
