My dear man,

You are all the things I seek;

So kind and gentle,

Soft spoken and sweet.

You even have that...

Teddy bear quality,

That I find so attractive.

 

Yet I fear...

Love for us,

Can never be.

For you see,

My heart is not free.

I love another,

And he loves me.

 

A friend to me,
