Lion's Den

 

The sacrificial lamb,

Lies quiescently,

In the mighty lion's den;

Eagerly awaiting-

The beginning,

Of the end.

 

His passion-

Trying to rend,

Her dying mortality-

Awakens her trapped soul.

 

Freeing her heart-

To heaven;

While condemning her body-

To hell.
