Color of Love

I am so hungry for red

delicate and sharp

like a rose for no reason.

I want to wrap myself in red

and feel the satin around my toes.

Sometimes i become cardinal

that intelligance and song.

Other times i am lava

bursting out like a rocket

beating the stars.

I am so hungry for red

with love and understanding.

It reminds me of you when the moment is right.

Your words so suttle and soft

take me to a place so beautiful and new.

The only thing i can say is:

I love you.

They're beautiful words. I will say if it was me I would
1) Offer up some shades of red instead of the one word.
2) Not repeat the color so often and rather focus on the images and what they represent to you within the poem.

But the message is clear, and it's thoughtful and sweet. :) Well done on that note.

I didn't think that Love had a color but you definitely picked the right color and objects to compare it to. You must love that person very much. Love it.

A very sweet poem. Usually I encourage people not to write love poems, but you pulled it off without making a cliche of it. You very quickly pull the reader in and keep him throughout the whole poem. It flows beautifully between different images; the red really binds the whole poem. A couple quick fixes: capitalize your i's and it's subtle, not suttle. I always misspell it, too. Besides that, great first poem.
