Build-A-Life

I often find myself wishing that I could write my life and future. I wrote this poem to express that feeling.

 Build-A-Life

Don't you wish

        That in this world

   you could build your life?

Don't you wish

You could make your own story

         And create your husband or wife?

But in this world

       You cannot do that

        I'm very sad to say

      You must make use

       Of what you have

      The future is determined by fate

     Our world is not like

Build-A-Bear

Fate writes the lyrics to our song

   But I suppose we must

    Make the best of life

    For it is not very long
