Where is home?

Where is home?

A Story by Kawthar J.

I've reached the shore,
sank my toes in the sand.
Tried to claim it as my land,
but the wind came.
I dug my fingers through the cliffs,
touched the heavens.
I have taken a step back.
I have been within,
I have been without.
I never make it to home.
Is home real?
Saw the frigidity of buildings,
the free flow of meandering.
I'll give my back to the world
as I turn to you.
I want to travel your mind.
The lagoons that your gaze foster.
Your laugh as eloquent as the soft crashing of waves.
Only then do I comet to remember that home is a feeling.
