MayA Poem by KayDaisies stretch upwards to take in the sun - what I do every time morning has begun. Plant my lips to yours, that’s my ritual goal. Taste the delicacy of your lips, of your soul. Every part of you is sweet like soft honey. You still make butterflies prance in my tummy. Now I reach mountaintops with my fingertips. I am the black sky and you are the moon eclipse. Obstacles in my path are knocked by your stare. When I suffocate, you infuse me with air. How do I appreciate you the way you deserve? How are you so beautiful to simply observe? Can I pull down the stars and sew you a crown? Can I take these white roses and design a gown? It would be an honor to hold you every day; for I love you like the gardens love May. For I love you like the gardens love May. © 2018 Kay |
