Waking In Your Arms

i opened my eyes this morning
smiling 'cause i saw you there
laying beside me
holding me close in your arms

you were fast asleep
i lightly touched your face
wondering what you could be dreaming about
hoping it was beautiful

i kissed your eyes softly
slowing moving away
quietly getting out of bed
joy wrapped around my heart

before i could take another step
you called my name
your breath on my shoulder
saying you dreamt of me
