A rare break in the dulling, numbing sadness that has become my existence

"
I am happy.
No you don't understand. 
I am actually happy. 
Right now in this moment, it's like someone switched me on. 
I am awake. I am alive. 
And for however long, 
Happy. 

I am happy. 
This is rare. 
I am actually happy. 
Right now all the dark, it seems so far away. 
I am here, I am present.
And I want to be,
Happy.
