A fish can never climb a treeA Poem by DarkStar
Dreams are windows to desire. Openings to the possibilities imagined by the heart.
And desires of this nature, though as alluring, and of unbountiful beauty, as the skies and stars themselves. Can often only be just that, a dream. And fools who believe them to be more. Will be broken countless times. And lost in the consistent ache, Of failure of the truest wish. The only way to survive it. Is to see the impossible reality. And grieve it. Grieve the dream. And let it go. Focus on what is, instead of what you wish could be. And maybe life will be alright. If not what you truly wanted, then at least okay. And that might not be enough but maybe it has to be, For as it may want to, a fish can never climb a tree. © 2018 DarkStar |
