A Natural Heartbreak

Creator, you make the mountains sway

the rivers pass through their gates

Silhouettes on the water fade away

jealousy sealed their fate

The hills were veiled in silence

mourning the clouds, their hearts fail to beat

Then the rain washed away the violence

as thunder proclaimed one more defeat

The wind believes in make belief

and the suns warmth makes the blood run dry

The fallen leave a trail of grief 

driving dreams of missed goodbyes

The world crumbled into chaos

from the ashes arose a familiar sight

The moon cried a hue of pathos

Broken to the human plight

In all the events surrounding life

The Earth continues to endure such crime

Even with human strife

Creator, does a natural heartbreak heal over time?
