Mortal ShellA Poem by KeeDThe world exists in a parallel plane one houses shadows and the other the mundane In this mediocrity, I exist to eventually die My Anima abandons me for a shell to occupy I used to be detached from my inner self just a silhouette shadowing my own mental hell Tiny fractures in the cracks of morality A doppelgänger and I now live in duality Now I see beyond the veil of the eye a paradise beyond the edge of the sky My purpose is to adventure through the sands of time To find, cherish and keep what is rightfully mine I owe it all to you my mirrored reflection to save me from my unforgiving depression I want to feel the music of my heart beat With you by my side, I refute defeat
