a petal

a petal falls from the soft yellow rose
signaling the death of our love
i cry out your name even tho it's futile
you are drifting further away from me
i try but i cant reach you
further and further you drift until
you are just a memory
tears roll down my face as i remember
i fall to my knees as the darkness falls around me
