freezing rain
falling on my
window pane
coldest chills
creeping up my
crooked spine
feet are numb
mind is racing
no bad thoughts
just decisions
to be made
changes that
are imminent
important changes
to make a difference
to find myself
to find my way
getting stronger
erasing pain
finding happiness
a love i'll gain
learning patience
keeping faith
living with hope
trusting in you
trusting in myself
trusting in us
gaining confidence
and self esteem
self awareness
many things
loving myself?
not sure if i know how
trying to do so
i know i need to
putting myself first?
what a difficult task
i'm a giving person
always putting others first
we'll make it through this
i have no doubt
it all takes time
that's where patience
will come into play
