Being Kind

This story is about me showing an act of kindness to a homeless man that was in need of help.

The other day when I was In Harlem looking for a job I came across seeing a homeless man sitting outside crying for food and money. I felt so bad for the homeless man that I went to the supermarket to buy him a sandwich, chips and soda with my EBT card. When I gave him the food the man thanked me and said "This was a blessing from God. He also thanked God as well. As I was headed to the train station the man followed me from behind to share with me all the stuff that was going on in his life. The things that he shared with me really touched my heart and I sympathized with him as well. I encouraged him by saying "God is with you and he will never leave you nor forsake you in your situation. The man felt he had no hope in getting out of his situation he began to think that God wasn't answering his prayers and he felt like giving up on life. I explained to him not to give up on God because he won't give up on you he' s able to change your situation around and you must trust in him as well instead of people. So as I prayed for the man he began to see the power of God in my life and he made the decision to stay strong and trust God. He walked away feeling confident.
