My 2008 Family Reunion

This story is about how I attended a family reunion in Virginia to meet my cousins, aunts and uncles.

I remember traveling to Virginia with my cousin Theresa at night to attend a two day family reunion. We traveled by amtrak train and it took us twelve hours to get to Virginia. During this long ride on the train me and my cousin Theresa slept on the train until we got to our destination. The next morning when we arrived to Virginia we hopped in a taxi cab to take us to a hotel. Once we got to the hotel we checked in and got keys for our hotel room. As I got into the room I unpacked all my stuff from my suitcase and I got prepared to take a shower and get ready for the day. After I finished getting settled in, me and my cousin went downstairs to eat breakfast they served sausage bacon, eggs and pancakes. It tasted so delicious. I came across meeting some of my cousins whose name was Tonya, Cynthy Jean, Olecia, Aloney, Kiara, devante and Nancy. I also met my uncles whose name was Thomas, Kenny and Otis. And I met an Aunt by the name of Eal. As I introduced myself to some of my family members I began to bond in doing activities with them inside the hotel such as swimming, exercising, dancing to music. Furthermore, me and my little cousins decided to have an exercise contest on the treadmill to see who can run the fastest. And it turned out my little cousin olecia beat me at this contest. The next activity we did was swimming in the pool. Once we got in the pool me and all my cousins were splashing water on each other as a way of having fun. Being in the water felt good it was nice and warm. Afterwards, me and my family were all gathered together for dinner at the hotel cafeteria. We all were dressed up casually for this get together event. The food that was served for dinner was spaghetti and meatballs, garlic bread. The types of beverages that were served was Lemonade, Iced tea, fruit punch and water. The food tasted so good that I was able to get a second plate. Meanwhile everybody was sitting at the table talking and enjoying their food a random photographer wanted each and every one of my family members to stand up and take a group picture of us being dressed up casually. Finally, there was music being played in the background me and my cousins started dancing to the cha cha slide song dancing from left to right. some of my family members were laughed at the way I danced to the cha Cha slide. I felt a bit embarrassed but I know they made a joke out of it but I still had fun with my family. This family reunion was a memorable and enjoyable time that I will never forget with my family.
