I am

I am going to drop this fake smiles and the false since of happiness so they can see what I have become from all of their lies and broken promises. I am going to be with the one I love even if they dont approve its not their chose its mine. I am going to try and show them how much better than them I am but I know them and it wont last they will push me back to that false world they love me in and I just cant do it.

This author is a poet of the highest order. Notice how a few short lines can express a disdain and angst that permeates and festers in a society of complete apathy.
