How does something so ethereal find itself in the hearts of beasts? But it's a symbol of hope, of change; It's something they hold on to, clutching the words of a mad priest And a woman too determined to let go.
They trapped themselves in paradise by destroying the peace And condemning the very freedom they scream for, As the tides of anger and hatred rise up, they increase The animosity by felling the social structure.
How does something so beautiful trigger the darkest of actions, To hide away their savior in a prison, in a box? Their symbol of hope only serves as their own fatal distraction, Adorning her walls and mocking the many locks
That keep their savior in a state of hatred.
She's growing armor on the inside, within her broken heart The way the followers attempt to, but she's sacred. Only look upon this being, let her remind you of your part And that imago will not be wasted.
Maybe my interpretations wrong, but to me I see it as a girl that has a wall up around her broken heart, no longer letting anyone in. Some people feel that's what works the best, it's all up to the person. Great emotion, I agree the last stanza was my favorite. I've read some of your other poetry, your emotion shows greatly in them. This one really stood out to me though. Great work.
