A heart that always breakA Poem by KevinKevz
These four words screaming inside my head
"I love you, but..", that's what you clearly said Got me feeling like I was hanging by a thread. Led me up the garden path and dazzled in just one look Lured me to your bait, in a trice, I can't get off your hook Behind my facade, you can still read me like a book. So please set me free, let me go and do it fast Best believe this romance isn't going to last Don't make me dwell in downcast. I don't want to be your servile lover A subservient, constant pushover Fooling someone doesn't make you clever. I don't want to be someone you just forsake Or even a deep gash persist to ache So I can't be the heart you always break. © 2025 KevinKevz |
