If He Could, He Would

You're having second thoughts and feeling uneasy
Does he really love you? Then why aren't you his priority?
Effort is a care indicator but he shows lack of interests
Failed to meet your expectations with all of his excuses.

He never bought you flowers, sluggish to text you back
Said he's too busy, so you go and cut him some slack
You are just being led on dear, it's just a false hope
Don't fall for it, I'm sure it's a treacherous slope.

His inactions say it all, don't you get it?
Don't settle for bare minimum, use your wit
Just because he enjoys making love to you
Doesn't mean that his intentions are true.

Save your tears, you deserve so much better
His words are empty when he wrote you that letter
He might like you but pursuing you is not on his plan
Remember that sincerity is a measure of a real man

You don't have to beg for his time and attention
He must initiate contact and value communication
Stop chasing that guy, it's for your own good
Know your self-worth babe, if he could, he would.
