When I was a kid
I'd always believed of happily ever after
Fantasizing a perfect love that could last forever

I've been fooled that a knight in shining armor will save you
A true love's kiss can magically make everything right too

How did it all become like a nightmare I don't want to experience?
When my friends being cheated on and their heartbreak so immense

Will I endure the pain just to keep the person I treasure?
How can someone you enamore, wasted your love so pure?

It crushes my heart to see them cry just by listening to their story
What if I were in there shoes,
Can I still make myself truly happy?

Even my relatives have failed marriage
they regret and now suffer
Their worlds have crumbled, so they can't sleep knowing there's another lover

From betrayal, illicit affairs and secret third parties,
To jealousy, broken vows, traumas, and anxieties

Lust have shattered homes, so as lies turned to be the sweetest
Toxic and abusive romance, that's something I have witnessed.

Please don't force me to be in a relationship
when I have realized a lot
Affection can be feigned,
THINK! -- before you tie the knot.

It's better to be single, living very peacefully
Than to be with the wrong person
making you feel so lonely.
