AgnosticA Story by KhanceMy twist of a Religious struggle of Good vs Evil. The story starts just over two thousand years ago with the birth of Jesus Christ. Prophecies say that the son of God would reign supreme until the time he was usurped from his throne. The only thing is, the prophecy didn’t count on human influence which resulted in the premature death of the Lord. The Prophecy was originally interpreted by the Greeks. It stated that the age old rivalry between God and the Devil had almost come to a confrontation that would have destroyed the earth and the very universe. This was calmed by an agreement made by the two beings. The agreement stated that the two beings could not influence the world directly, but that they were allowed to have vessels for their spirit. God chose to influence key persons such as John de Baptista, Joan of Arc, Mother Theresa and various others. Whereas the Devil sought vessels such as Hitler, Napoleon, Stalin and of course King Henry. Jesus was God’s plan to turn the tide and gain an advantage over the Devil. But the world ran independent after his death and belief in God waned. At the turn of the millennium, belief was at its lowest since the death of Jesus. The Devil had been waiting for such an opportunity, and he didn’t waste it. Jesus sacrificed himself to better the world and to give faith and power to his father. Damien sacrificed people to inflict fear on the populace and to grow in power. Arenas were constructed in every major city, entire races were enslaved and people lived in constant fear. Damien resided in the Vatican, to show the world that Christianity wasn’t returning and to reinforce that the new religion of Satanicy was staying. This is where the story begins, with an a man that is determined to avenge the death of his elder Brother. Marc has just left college, his life had been relatively simple. He lived in Germany, which had the lowest sacrifice count in recent years. Life was going good. That was until his brother was called for sacrifice… © 2008 KhanceAuthor's Note
