Dear MomA Poem by KateH038A kind of “response” sort of poem/other half of my previous piece titled- Dear Son
Dear Mom,
I hear every wish, see every tear, that’s saddened you since I’ve been away. I’m sorry I didn’t get to say goodbye. I could never explain how much I miss you like crazy, each and every day. I know I was your protector, your shield from this world. I know heavily on me you relied…but just because you can’t see me like you once did, doesn’t mean that I’m not always by your side. Mom, I know this is hard because it’s hard on me, too but you have to promise me you’ll try. Don’t give up. This is only “see you later.” I could never tell you goodbye. So, keep me alive with your memory. Don’t ever let me fade. Things will get easier, you’ll see. I look forward to once again see your smile, when you make here to the other side with me. © 2022 KateH038 |
