Sorrow’s Gentle ReposeA Poem by KateH038Another one for my son. May you rest in peace, Jakob. I miss and love you more than words….
- Sorrow is a path, we often bear alone,
A souls moving through shadows, where heartache is shown. - Memories of love, over time may feel small, As whispers of what was, arrange sorrowful call. - Grief is the pain of love with nowhere physical to land, A longing that persists, on heartache unplanned. - It's the weight of what's missing, a burden so profound, - A reminder of love that’s irreplaceable, nor knows any bound. - In silent moments alone, my thoughts swallow me whole, I feel as though I am drifting, losing control. - Yet in this vast silence, an almost gentle repose, My thoughts down on paper, my only comfortable place to disclose. - Through my bleakest of days, I’ll covet our memories from the past, Always cherish the love between us, that will forever last. - For in my heart's depths, our love is safely tucked away, And I’ll linger on each memory of your face, like those on any other day. © 2026 KateH038 |
