Not good enough!

Oh! He says I’m not good enough...

To match him and his ways!

So he just can’t hang around,

With someone, as useless as me.

 

I just stare at him wondering,

Why he is being such a know-it-all;

After all, he has not achieved anything great,

And then, won’t his attitude lead to his fall?

 

He leaves me in confusion,

Doubt and despair line my mind;

I doubt whether I should try again,

Or leave it all behind.

Am I really turning into a serious person? I cannot write anything but serious poetry these days! : )

sometimes, the love or the so-called infatuation be seemed more like a dilemma of life that brings nothing but a loath of emptiness to hearts. kinda like these given lines:

I just stare at him wondering,
Why he is being such a know-it-all;
After all, he has not achieved anything great,
And then, won’t his attitude lead to his fall?

only a guy who hasn't yet achieved anythin' in life is seemed to be more typical and complex than the rest of the hot guys around esp. when it comes to love cos, he thinks, he's the one to nail things down around, but in real, he's the only one to be fooled around by his own mis-deception.

only a guy can leave a gurl in confusion who's himself a loath of self-obsessed deception of mind. a very new-age type poetry you've penned down in words. it's kinda story of every new youth who be trudgin' throu' the same analogies of life but in a very diff. way. nice imagery here, perhaps, very heartfelt, though.. as well.

Nothing to worry about. Yes, when in pain and despair only the victim knows better but each and every person in this world is unique and have different qualities, likes and dislikes.
It may not work out when you are with the wrong match and that may lead to fights or arguments.
I believe destiny brings the correct person in your life or sometimes both wants each other and adjusts to each others likes and dislikes.

Just keep fingers crossed, be positive and things will be alright.

Its rare that a poem as simple as this can be such a fun read. It flowed well. Was short too. I am assuming its a relationship related poem... is it?

A poem about the arrogance of mankind, and you managed to capture the essence of it: Of how they try to push you down so they'd feel like they stand above you.

"won’t his attitude lead to his fall?" indeed I believe so. It will be their own arrogance that won't even consider how mortal and frail they - and we - all are, until they mortality of humanity is all we'll have left to feel.
