Somebody that I used to know

 Sweet and kind, that was you.
 Your smile and laughter were really true.
 But something changed in you,
That made me feel so blue.

 You made me laugh,
Though my problems were really tough.
You made me cry,
At times I say "I'll try".

You were there
 And I was here.
